    Born in Martinez, California, in May of 1947, Gene Romero was basically raised in the racing world, starting with carts before graduating to mini motorcycles at a very young age.  

    Even going so far as forging a fake birth certificate to participate in his first professional competition in 1964, just before he was 18, Romero proved to have no limits to doing what needed to be done in order to give everything he had to his craft and the sport.

    History of the Honda CX500 Turbo

    The development of the CX500 Turbo comes from previous decades of horsepower wars between Japanese and American bikes. Riders cared more about the power of the bike than an excess of features, and would readily gobble up an odd looking bike or less than amazing ride if they can get there faster.

    CX's line replaced the CB550, which was very popular in its own right. The lineup offered some new features that weren't common on bikes yet, including liquid cooling, a long mounted engine, and air free tires. The new platform initially had to compete with the powerful Suzuki GS750, a sportbike of the day. These sportsbikes sold very well despite having some reliability issues and sometimes having no limiter, which could readily lead to destroying an engine.

    History of the Yamaha RD350
    Yamaha introduced the RD350 in 1973 and admittedly didn't built it for very long before stopping production in 1975. Consumers considered the RD350 to be a racing bike – and even believed RD stood for Racing Developed with no particular proof besides the fact that it sported a powerful engine. The RD350 was indeed known for being a fast bike due to advancements in both its engine and transmission. We know a bit about the Yamaha RD350 and have more information about why it was made – and why Yamaha stopped making it.
